// The Intune Frames
Everything is music. And music is everything. Now framed and playable.
The Intune Frames are high-resolution pictures mounted on a wooden frame. Hidden within these pictures – almost like camouflage – are fully functional electric guitars. You can take the instrument out, play it, and then put it right back into the picture.
The first series of Intune Frames was called "String Theories," which was supported by ESO (The European Southern Observatory). We used actual deep space photos to represent the endless vastness of the universe. The idea behind this series is symbolic:
According to the current string theory, the smallest elements of molecular structures are tiny energy strings – the "guitar strings of God." They’re the foundation of everything in the universe – the smallest parts that make up billions of solar systems across billions of galaxies. Imagine these unbelievably small subatomic strings playing the music of the stars.
These strings are the fundamental energy of everything that exists in the cosmos. When we think about this massive amount of energy, it can make us feel pretty small. They remind us humans that we’re just a small, weak flash in the timeline of space.
But even with that in mind, we can still live meaningful lives and find our own fulfillment. We can create our own personal universe while we’re here on this small planet Earth.
The key is to compose and play our own life’s symphony. We just have to learn how to tune our own "strings" and play the rhythms and melodies that give our lives meaning and satisfaction. The electric guitar hidden in the picture symbolizes our life itself. It reminds us that we have the ability to write and perform the unique song of our life – and when we’re done, when our life’s music has played, we return to the greater whole. The instrument goes back into the picture – just as we become part of the universe again.
After creating this series and diving deeper into string theory, I realized that everything is basically made of "music." Particles and strings just vibrate at different rhythms and frequencies. Music, in a way, is the language and the code of the universe.
You can feel it everywhere – if you listen closely: in a child’s laughter, the wind through ancient trees, the deep growl of a sports car engine, the glow of gemstones, the silence after a storm, and the meaning of a symbol. They are all songs – each one composed of vibrations, frequencies, and beautiful harmonies.
