This Cars & Guitars project is inspired by my favorite childhood slot car: The Widowmaker. Back then, it was simply the fastest slot car I owned, winning most of my races.
Only decades later did I understand that it represented one of the most legendary Porsches of all time. After finally driving the original on a racetrack, I understood not only its looks, but its attitude.
Built without compromise, it demands highest focus, it doesn’t forgive hesitation. It rewards courage, precision, and intuition. Like the legendary machine that inspired it, this instrument was never meant for everyone.
It exists for those who understand that true freedom always comes with risk.
TURBO 930 in Solid Silver
The fingerboard features a finely crafted, custom-made “TURBO 930” inlay, reproducing the original lettering in solid silver. Seamlessly integrated into the fingerboard, the inlay adds a distinctive detail without affecting the instrument’s playability.
Rear Spoiler
The iconic rear spoiler of the 930 Turbo has been translated into the guitar’s body design, creating a comfortable and secure resting point for the player’s arm. Even at high playing speeds, it provides stability and effortless control of the instrument.
Identification Number
Every Jens Ritter instrument carries its own unique identification number. For The Widowmaker, the identification number of the original Porsche 930 Turbo has also been immortalized on the instrument, creating a direct connection between car and guitar.
